So, have you heard about the Druid City Arts Fest?
DCAF is a one day celebration of local and regional original music. We will be featuring bands from all across the South - performing all kinds of music. The different sights and sounds are all brought to you for FREE!
Featuring music by:
Act of Congress, Taylor Hollingsworth, Kate Taylor, Blaine Duncan and the Lookers, Baak Gwai, Alice in Thunderland, Kadesh and the Perfect Strangers, The Motions, Blue Party, El Cantador, Maestro Pandamonium, A2Z, Rebecca Marshall, Elle Claytor, the Alabama Blues Project Advanced Band, Bandar-log, Ben Joseph, Sparrow and the Ghost, The Hypsys, Johnny Hayes, and Callooh! Callay!
There will be food, beverage, and merchandise vendors on the premises.
Join the celebration in downtown Tuscaloosa’s City Fest lot for FREE ALL AGES FUN from 2 pm-9pm.
Then stick around for the AFTER PARTY from 10pm – 2 am in multiple late-night venues across town (Little Willies, Egan's, The Booth, Innisfree, and Brown's Corner). For the unbeatable price of $5 you can purchase an all access DCAF after party wrist band to gain free or reduced cover charges at all DCAF participating venues. Wrist bands will be available for purchase at the DCAF festival site, Crimson Arts Ticket Window (Ferg Theatre Box Office), and Maxwell Hall.

The workshop will focus on inspirational, biographical and journalistic writing. Participants may bring in submissions and work together in small groups with a facilitator to critique their scripts. There will be door prizes & other great literary give-a-ways. Registration fee, which includes lunch: $15 for faculty, staff, general public; $10 for students. In cooperation with the Kentuck Art Center, this year's Sakura Festival offers a new way to participate in Japanese culture: creating raku pottery. The distinctive crackled finish of raku results from taking the red-hot pottery from the kiln and plunging it immediately into a medium that ignites, bringing serendipitous beauty to the finished piece. Participants will decorate hand-thrown pottery pieces prepared by Kentuck artists and work with the artists in firing and finishing the pieces. The usual participant fee will be sponsored by the Sakura Festival and includes one piece of pottery; additional pieces for decoration can be purchased at the workshop. The workshop is limited to 15 participants who must be at least 15 years of age; please call 205-758-1257 to reserve your place in class. Observers of all ages are welcome to attend at no charge. The Kentuck Art Center is located at 503 Main Avenue in downtown Northport, Alabama.
