LIVINGSTON | The 20th-ranked University of West Alabama baseball team rallied in both contests of the Sunday doubleheader to sweep Valdosta State.
UWA (23-8, 8-0 GSC) claimed the opening game 6-5 and then out-slugged VSU (25-13, 2-4) 12-11 to complete the sweep and extend the Tigers’ win streak to 11 games.

Miller allowed five hits and struck out three.

HARROGATE, Tenn. | The University of West Alabama men’s tennis team completed a weekend sweep on Saturday, topping former Gulf South Conference foe Lincoln Memorial, 6-3.
The Tiger women dropped a 5-4 decision to the Lady Railsplitters.
On Friday, both teams picked up wins at Lenoir Rhyne in Hickory, N.C.

MONTICELLO, Ark. | The University of West Alabama baseball team took a pair of games Saturday against Arkansas- Monticello. UWA, which improved to 11-7 on the season, won 4-3 and 8-1.

Stillman Lady Tigers sweep softball doubleheader

TUSCALOOSA | The Stillman College softball team swept a doubleheader against LeMoyne-Owen College on Saturday. Stillman won the first game 15-2 and claimed the second, 13-5. Both were five-inning games.
In the first game, Robyn Beatty got the win, allowing three hits and two earned runs with five strikeouts. She improved to 5-1.

Irby, a 6-foot-4 freshman forward, scored 13 points and collected 14 rebounds on Friday as the Buccaneers beat Snead State of Boaz 80-72 in the Alabama Community College Conference Tournament.
