Rebecca is an upstanding lawyer who tells you like it is and that is what I like about her. If you do what she tells you to do, which is to use your common sense, she will fight for you. She works with the Fatherhood Initiative and from what I have seen, she offers tons of services for fathers who are being taken advantage of by their ex-wives in regards to their children. She offers classes to fathers to help them see the errors of their ways and how to work within the system instead of against it, and she really wants to see every father be the best they can be. She even offers to give you reduced fees if you attend 12 of her classes in a row. No other lawyer in Tuscaloosa is going to do that for you and still give you 110% service. If this were the only thing I had to say, I would recommend her to any father who is having a difficult time working with their ex-wives.
Unfortunately, for every good thing in this world, there is a bad thing to counteract it. Rebecca employs a woman who is by far the worst receptionist/paralegal I have ever seen in my life. She has absolutely no customer service skills what so ever. She is consistently rude to almost every single person I have ever talked to in regards to walking into this establishment, or speaking on the phone. I have seen documentation of how she misspelled words, and gave incorrect information on legal documents that were to be presented to the courts that ended up having to be retyped which just caused more stress on the individuals who needed the documentation. Every time I have walked into this office, she has been on a personal call, and then would have to tell them that she would call them back later, or even place them on hold and then act annoyed that you just walked in and were standing in her doorway. She made me personally fill that I was not welcomed in the office and actually rolled her eyes at me when I asked her what paperwork needed to be filled out. If by chance you read this and still want to use Rebecca, make sure when you make an appointment that you call every three days to assure that she still has you down for the date she originally tells you as she is notorious for setting appointments and giving you the wrong date. This is especially important for people who were assigned Rebecca as their court appointed attorney. Because of this woman, my advice is to tell anyone who is considering using Rebecca to seriously consider these facts that I have listed.
My only suggestion to Rebecca would be for her to terminate the employment of this woman and higher someone who knows what they are doing. I am sure she is paying said person way to much for the kind of work she is getting out of her. There is no excuse for poor employee work, respect for the client, and attitude.
Quick Positive: Rebecca is an amazing lawyer.
Quick Negative: Her employee has terrible customer service.
